FS Smokeeters

FS and LS smoke eaters offer the ultimate in discreet and effective air cleaning for businesses that prioritize both air quality and aesthetics.

Designed to be installed above the ceiling, these concealed smoke eaters offer a visually seamless solution, making them ideal for environments where a sophisticated ambiance is paramount, such as bars, restaurants, casinos, hospitals, offices, and schools.

Despite their quiet operation, FS commercial air cleaners deliver impressive airflow ranges from 440 to 900 CFM, effectively filtering and circulating clean air throughout multiple rooms.

One of the standout features of the FS series is its ability to be ducted to various areas, thanks to its concealed installation above the ceiling. This flexibility allows for customized air distribution patterns, ensuring that every corner of your space receives fresh, purified air.

To further enhance the aesthetic appeal, FS smoke eaters can be seamlessly integrated with supply grilles, return grills, and flexible ductwork, creating a cohesive and visually pleasing system. Additionally, a wall-mounted remote switch offers convenient control, allowing you to adjust the air cleaning settings with ease.

For environments where odor control is a priority, the FS series offers an innovative solution – carbon modules. These separate units are designed with the same configuration as the FS smoke eaters, ensuring optimal odor neutralization and air pattern control.

How Do Concealed Smoke Eaters Work?

Contaminated air is drawn into FS Smokeeter systems through waffle-shaped inlet grills or Return Air Assemblies (located in two separate areas).

The air then flows through Aluminized Flexible Ductwork and is directed to the smoke eater through a Wye Connection.

Once inside the smoke eater, pollutants are removed from the air stream through an aluminum mesh filter which removes larger particles.

The cleaned air is sent through ductwork and another Wye Connection and is then discharged into different locations through louvered outlet grills, or Supply Air Assemblies.

An activated carbon after-filter aids in controlling odor.

FS Smokeeter Systems feature an innovative concealed concept that allows them the flexibility needed to adapt to any environment or room configuration. The standard components that are included with FS are the smoke eater itself and a wall-mounted remote control switch. The wide variety of accessories makes these air cleaning custom tailored to meet the needs of any room configuration.

Concealed Smokeeter Accessories
Carbon Plenum - The carbon module, or plenum, holds carbon and is used to combat strong, pervasive odors.

10" inlet/outlet collars. This allows the Carbon Plenum to connect to flexible or hard duct.

Supply Air Assembly - The Supply Air Assembly, or outlet grill, recirculates clean air into the room. It features a white enamel finish to blend with the ceiling and adjustable louvers. Supply Air Assemblies are available in these sizes:

Aluminized Flexible Duct - The Aluminized Flexible Duct allows users to channel air up to 25'. It is made of UL-listed aluminum polyester laminate with encapsulated galvanized steel wire, and can be compressed into just 32". Aluminized Flexible Duct is available in the following sizes:

Wye Connection - The Wye Connection is a device used to direct air to more than one area of a room. This transition piece can accept sheet metal or flexible duct.

Return Air Assembly - Designed to draw air into a concealed Smokeeter, the Return Air Assembly, or inlet grill, is made up of molded fiberglass plenum with scrim reinforced foil back and square-to-round collars. The molded white polystyrene eggcrate is 24" x 24" T-bar drop-in with 1/2" x 1/2" grid spacing.

Remote Switch Assembly - A standard accessory with concealed Smokeeters, the Remote Switch Assembly features a wall-mounted remote control with on/off switch and indicator light. The switch can be changed to an optional multiple speed control, and the lamp notifies users when the unit needs to be serviced.
