Designed to be installed above the ceiling, LS Smokeeters seamlessly integrate into any space, providing powerful smoke and airborne contaminant removal capabilities while maintaining an unobtrusive ambiance. LS smoke eaters are tailored for larger environments — they weigh 48 lbs more than FS units and stand an impressive 7 inches taller. With an impressive airflow range of 600 to 1,500 CFM, the LS smoke eater ensures optimal air circulation and purification in expansive spaces, making it an ideal choice for large commercial venues, auditoriums, or office complexes. Despite its robust size and performance, the LS operates quietly, outperforming other large-capacity air cleaners in terms of noise levels. This quiet operation, combined with the ability to be ducted to multiple rooms without any discernible change in sound levels, creates a calm and undisturbed atmosphere for your guests or employees. One of the key advantages of both the LS and FS models is their concealed installation above the ceiling. This innovative design not only enhances the aesthetic appeal by keeping the units out of sight but also provides unparalleled flexibility in accommodating any size or space configuration. How Do Concealed Smoke Eaters Work?Contaminated air is drawn into LS Smokeeter systems through waffle-shaped inlet grills or Return Air Assemblies (located in two separate areas). The air then flows through Aluminized Flexible Ductwork and is directed to the smoke eater through a Wye Connection. Once inside the smoke eater, pollutants are removed from the air stream through an aluminum mesh filter which removes larger particles. The cleaned air is sent through ductwork and another Wye Connection and is then discharged into different locations through louvered outlet grills, or Supply Air Assemblies. An activated carbon after-filter aids in controlling odor. |
